Juergen Shumacher
President

Karl-Heinz Schulz
VP, Technology & Engineering
Karl-Heinz (Charlie), a native German was awarded a Mechanical Engineering Degree from BH Dombin, Austria.
He began his career as Technical Manager with a well-known Austrian Panel Processing Equipment
Manufacturer integrating newly installed systems for their international clientele. This position brought
him ultimately to the USA.
Later, he worked as an independent consultant in the areas of IT software, plant layouts, production
flows, optimization of wood manufacturing production lines, and integration of backend offices with
the manufacturing process.
Charlie joined the US operation of a leading Italian WW Equipment Manufacturer in 1999 as Manager
of their Information Systems, Services/Parts Division, and Logistics Department. One of his additional
responsibilities was to insure purchased manufacturing systems met production specifications for
customers.
As VP of Technology & Engineering of BiEnergy Group, Charlie works hand-in-hand
with clients as they progress from project plans to physical Plan installation and implementation of new
Pellet Production and Biomass Energy Plants.

Bodo Frey, Dipl. - Ing.
Operations Manager
Bodo holds a Masters of Engineering with a focus on power plant technology from University of
Aachen, Germany. He has a decade of experience as a Project Developer, Project Manager, Material
Flow Manager, and Managing Director of a Biomass Recycling Plant.
Most recently, Bodo was the Managing Director of the BHG Biomasse Handelsgesellschaft mbH, a
biomass facility located within a wood-fired power plant located in Manheim, Germany. He managed
the operations of the biomass recycling plant, waste logistics and the 24/7 fuel delivery to the attached
wood-fired power plant. At BiEnergy, Bodo’s duties include managing project development, project
management, strategic finances, and support & strategic partner liaison.

Gregor Rinke, Ph D.
Seeger Engineering AG
Gregor, a recognized authority in renewable resources, provides customers with project
management services for biomass power plants and pellet manufacturing facilities.
His current board member position with SEEGER Engineering, AG, is the result of a long-term
affiliation with them, first as a consultant in 1991, then as SEEGER’s project manager in the
planning & implementation of pellet and/or biomass systems. Throughout his career, he has
worked with dozens of companies predominantly in the German and European community.
His most recent projects were on behalf of GERMAN PELLETS for their Pellet Plant facilities
in Wismar, Ettenheim and Herbrechtingen in Germany.
Gregor received his PhD in the field of renewable Resources from the Institute of Crop Science
(INK) at The GhKassel, and completed his Inaugural Dissertation research and documentation
on renewable resources, after studying agronomy at the University GhKassel with postgraduate
courses at The GhKassel in Witzenhausen.

Bill Christoffersen
Sales Engineer
Bill has more than 30 years of experience in the composite panel industry as well as a BS degree
in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix, NM. The many phases of panel
processing with which he has been extensively involved include the manufacturing and processing
of board, UV filling, curtain coating, direct roller coating, Electron-Beam-cure (EB) decorating, roll
laminating, and short-cycle press laminating. He was also instrumental in the development of board
substrate for the laminated flooring industry.
Bill has managed engineering and plant construction for a variety of projects including the previously
described coating and laminating lines. He has also designed, installed, and supervised component
parts manufacturing plants for the kitchen cabinet and electronics industries. On the raw material
preparation and handling side, he has designed and developed facilities for wood chip handling,
milling, and wood drying.
